Our acrylic pieces are designed and then pre-cut in small batches. We also keep a small variety of hardware options (hooks, posts, and clip-on backs) in stock at all times. So once your order is placed, we lovingly create your earrings within 1-2 business days.
Through small-batch, limited production, and quality craftsmanship, we reduce material waste and ensure your earrings are handmade especially for you.

Anywhere your heart desires, my friend! We ship within Australia and overseas.
Please note that, on occasion, some international locations may be unable to receive packages. Australia Post provides and updates details about shipping to international locations on their website. Please check this to ensure you can receive packages at your location before placing your order.
If you place an order and Australia Post then advises Bashful Designs they cannot deliver to your chosen location, we will contact you by email to discuss a resolution (usually, this will be refunding your order, but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).

Your package will be shipped from metro Melbourne. Estimated delivery timeframes for metro and regional locations in Australia include:
Standard shipping timeframes
- To anywhere in Victoria, Australia: 2-4 business days
- Interstate metro and regional (NSW, ACT, TAS, QLD, NT, SA, WA): 3-6 business days
- Interstate rural/remote: 5-14 business days
Express shipping timeframes
- To anywhere in Victoria, Australia: 1-2+ business days
- Interstate metro and regional (NSW, ACT, TAS, QLD, NT, SA, WA): 1-3+ business days
- Interstate rural/remote: 2-6 business days

On average, parcels may take anywhere from 4-25 business days (after dispatch to Australia Post) to arrive. The timeframe may vary from the average and will depend on your location and whether you chose standard or express shipping. Australia Post provides and updates estimated international shipping timeframes, disruptions, and delays on their website.
Tracking and updates
When your order is processed and dispatched to Australia Post (usually within 1-2 business days of your order confirmation), we’ll send you an email with a tracking number. You can track a more accurate delivery status and timeframe specific to your individual order through the Australia Post website or by downloading their app.

- Free standard shipping within Australia for orders over $50.00 (AUD).
- Free express shipping within Australia for orders
over $85.00 (AUD).
Good things also come in smaller packages
We apply flat-rate shipping within Australia. So, if your order doesn’t meet the thresholds for free shipping, you can still get your goodies at a reasonable cost.
Our flat rates for shipping anywhere within Australia:
- Standard shipping $12.00 (AUD)
- Express shipping $20.00 (AUD)

Who doesn’t love an international jaunt?! We also offer standard and express shipping for our overseas customers. The cost for international shipping will be calculated at checkout. This will be based on the country we’re shipping your package to and your chosen shipping option (standard or express).

Yep - every step of the way.
Once your order is fulfilled (usually within 1-2 business days of your order confirmation), we lodge your parcel with Australia Post the following business day. We include the email address you provided in your order so you can receive updates from Australia Post about your parcel delivery.
On the same day as lodging with Australia Post, we’ll also email you a confirmation and tracking number.
Your unique tracking number will show the most accurate delivery timeframe. You can use this number to get live updates on the Australia Post website or
AusPost app.

We totally get it, you want your goodies asap – we would, too. Sometimes delivery can take a little longer than expected due to unforeseen disruptions.
It’s not you, it’s me
It’s incredibly rare to have a delay in the order fulfilment process on our end. But, if there is, we’ll email you asap to let you know what’s going on and when your order will be made.
Stuck in transit
Occasionally, there could be a delay with the delivery process. You can use your Australia Post tracking number (emailed to you once your package is on its way) to check for any known delays. Australia Post also provides information on current disruptions and delays to their delivery services.
Australia Post advises most late parcels will arrive within 5 business days of their original expected delivery date. They provide a checklist for what to do if your delivery is taking longer than expected.

Am I lost, or just taking the scenic route?
If you package is more than 5 days past its expected delivery date (according to your Australia Post tracking number), please contact Bashful Designs and we’ll be happy to work with Australia Post on your behalf to help find it.
Now, I’m really lost!
If your order has lost its way and cannot be located, then we want to make things right. We’ll give you your choice of either:
- A replacement of your order, sent to you at no
additional cost; or - A refund of the listed product price for each item lost.

Please make sure you provide the correct address at checkout, as Bashful Designs cannot accept responsibility for lost or returned packages due to incorrectly supplied shipping information.

We take great care with producing and packaging your goodies to prevent any damage occurring along their journey to you. We’ve also got your covered if things don’t go to plan.

It’s awful to receive your anticipated goodies, only to find they’re not quite right. We’re committed to quality assurance at every step of production, so we thoroughly examine your earrings for any damage or faults before we pack them.
But we’re all human and things can get missed. So, we also take photographs of your items before they get packed. If your earrings do arrive damaged, our photos can help us determine how and when the damage occurred so we can come up with the most appropriate resolution for you.

We’ve combined more sustainable packaging with the need to protect your new goodies while in transit.
Great things really do come in small packages – we use:
- Smaller, recyclable packing boxes.
- Custom-sized earring cards that fit snugly in each box to prevent excess movement while in transit (also made from 100% recycled stock).
- Water-resistant, recyclable post pack bags sized to fit snugly around our boxes. They protect against weather damage and further against excess movement while your goodies are winging their way to you.
Well, that took a turn!
Despite all efforts to the contrary, some packages or items may arrive damaged. This is very rare, but it can happen.
If your items are damaged or faulty on arrival, please email elena@bashfuldesigns.com.au within 7 business days of receiving your package so we can find a resolution. Please see below for our policy and process related to damaged or faulty item claims and refunds.

Safety first – in the interest of hygiene and for your protection, we cannot accept returns on any earrings due to a change of mind.
Something’s not quite right
If your new goodies arrive damaged or faulty or if any items are missing from your order, we want to make things right. Please email elena@bashfuldesigns.com.au within 7 business days of receiving your package so we can find a resolution.
Please also include photos and a description of the issue. We’ll also refer back to our photos taken of your items and package before we dispatched it Australia Post. This helps us determine how and when the damage or fault occurred or items went missing and, therefore, how to make it right for you.
Please include photos of both:
- The earrings – please make sure you include clear images of the damage or fault; and
- The delivered package – please ensure you include clear images of the package you received (regardless of whether there is damage to the package or not).
Once we’ve received your email and photos, we’ll assess the issue and get back to you within 1-3 business days to discuss options for resolution with you.
Making amends
In general, items damaged in transit are managed by Australia Post. We’ll assess your claim first to determine if the damage occurred due to our error or if Australia Post is responsible. If it needs to be managed by Australia Post, you can follow their instructions to lodge your damaged item claim and apply for compensation.
If we assess that Bashful Designs is responsible, then we’ll make it right – we’ll provide your choice of either:
- A replacement of the damaged item, sent to you at no additional cost; or
- A refund of the listed product price (the price you paid) for the damaged item.
Likewise, if we assess there is a genuine fault with the earrings due to our error, we want to make amends. We’ll provide your choice of either:
- A replacement of the faulty item, sent to you at no additional cost; or
- A refund of the listed product price (the price you paid) for the faulty item.
